Our workshop

Located in Reghin, Romania—widely recognized as the country’s capital of violin making—our workshop is dedicated to the creation of fine handcrafted string instruments. Founded by master luthier Călin Vultur and continued together with his son, Andrei Vultur, the workshop represents a harmonious blend of tradition, expertise, and innovation.

For decades, we have specialized in the making of violins, violas, cellos, and double basses, carefully crafting each instrument from selected tonewoods and premium materials. Every stage of the process, from wood selection and carving to varnishing and final setup, is carried out with precision and respect for the centuries-old traditions of European lutherie.

Despite our modest size, our team of skilled craftsmen shares a common commitment to excellence. Each instrument receives individual attention, allowing us to maintain the highest standards of quality, sound, and craftsmanship. Our goal is not simply to build instruments, but to create lasting musical partners that inspire musicians throughout their artistic journey.

Rooted in the rich violin-making heritage of Reghin and enriched by international experience, our workshop continues to evolve while remaining faithful to the values that define true craftsmanship: patience, dedication, and a passion for music.

Today, our instruments are appreciated by musicians, teachers, students, and collectors who seek authenticity, reliability, and a distinctive musical voice. Through every instrument we create, we strive to preserve and advance the legacy of fine Romanian violin making for future generations.
